vietnam war ration pack

The Vietnam War is an event experienced by many Wollongong and Illawarra men, women and their families.

This Vietnam War ration pack was issued to soldiers throughout the Vietnam War.  It was to be eaten in a 24 hour period whilst on action or at camp.  There are five different menus and a different one was advised to be eaten at each meal. This ration pack held in the collection of Breakwater Battery Museum was a ‘E’ ration pack.  It includes instant noodles, chicken soup, gravy, salt and even chocolate.

It is included in the Vietnam war displays of the Breakwater Battery Museum in Port Kembla.
