1919 republic truck

At the time that this truck was built, Republic was the biggest manufacturer of trucks in the world.

This vehicle came to Australian Motorlife Museum in pieces, but with much original component included.

The cab frame, for example, is the original fitted to the truck when it was built. The fact that this truck had survived is most unusual and makes the truck a significant survivor or truck manufacturing.

Mechanically it was restored to very good running order by volunteers working at Motorlife and it is in excellent running order. It is registered for occasional use has a cruising speed of a comfortable 60 kph.
